  • Dr.
    David Bengtson

    Dr. David Bengtson graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1983 and has been practicing in Winthrop for almost 40 years. Dr. Bengtson is committed to improving quality of life for his patients through a conservative approach of building relationships and learning what will help patients look and feel their best. He also regularly participates in CE courses to stay current with the latest developments, skills and training in dentistry today for continued knowledge of achieving optimum patient care.

    Dr. Bengtson and his wife Sue have two daughters, Emily and Sarah, along with the family dog “Lucy”.

    During his time away from the office Dr. Bengtson enjoys spending time with his family, cross country skiing, travelling and photography. Over the years he has also been involved with dental mission work in Honduras and Israel.

  • Stephanie Grochow
    Dental Assistant

    Stephanie is a Licensed and Certified Dental Assistant that graduated from South Central College in Mankato in 2015. She joined our team right after
    graduation. With the utmost of care, she encourages patients to better their dental health as it is an essential part to staying healthy and achieving a
    beautiful smile.

    Stephanie and her husband Sam have 2 boys, Hayden and Easton, along with their dogs. She loves to escape to the great outdoors with her family and enjoy fishing, camping and kayaking! 

  • Beth Anderson
    Dental Assistant

    Beth is a Dental Assistant and came to Bengtson Family Dental in 1997. She was here for a few years then took and break from dentistry to focus on family.
    She later returned in 2014 because she truly enjoys all aspects of working here and helping patients to improved their oral health care needs while getting to know each patient.

    She and her husband Tim have on a dairy farm in Bernadotte. She has two daughters, Meghan and Marissa and a couple of grandchildren. In her free time
    she enjoys being outdoors, taking care of the cows, scrapbooking, traveling, camping and activities with her family.

  • Anna Bode
    Dental Assistant

    Anna is a Licensed and Certified Dental Assistant that graduated from Minnesota West in Canby, MN in 2016. She joined the Bengtson Family Dental
    Team in 2020. She loves working for a small town practice and is passionate about getting to know the patients in the community and helping them make
    informed positive changes for a healthy oral routine. 

    She and her husband Cody live on a dairy farm in Gibbon and have two beautiful children, Ella and Rhett. When she is not busy with the kids or the dairy she enjoys quilting, travelling, going to the cabin and spending time with family and friends.

  • Misty Utendorfer

    Misty is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2002, and has been with our team ever since then. She
    enjoys educating patients on the importance of improved oral health care and helping them with their needs.

    In her free time Misty enjoys volunteering at school and church, spending time with her husband Paul and their daughters Megan and Natalie. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and gardening.

  • Alisha DeRock

    Alisha is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2008. She joined our practice in 2018 and enjoys educating and
    helping patients achieve their optimal oral health. 

    Alisha resides in Hutchinson with her husband Jon and their three children Macie, Graham and Bryson. She enjoys playing and coaching many sports, being active in the community and spending time with her family.

  • Stephanie Trnka
    Office Coordinator

    Stephanie joined our team in November 2018 with 30+ years of dental experience. Her early years as a Certified & Registered Dental Assistant and then to the business end of dentistry in 2006. She brings to us a vast knowledge of dental insurance and billing to assist patients with getting a plan together to accomplish their improved dental health care needs while navigating how to understand and make it happen within their budget and insurance limitations.

    She and her husband Brad live on a hobby farm. Together they have 6 children and several grandchildren. Their joint passions are gardening (growing fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers), cooking and canning, getting away with the travel trailer when they can and spending as much time as possible with the grandchildren. Stephanie also likes to find time to do her crafting, woodworking and “DIY” projects.
